Authentic Tractor Exhibit
Available For Touring

Located in Hanover, PA, Wilke Tractor houses one of the regionis most unique farm tractor exhibits dating back to the early 20th century. The 7,000 square foot display area features Fred Wilke's private collection of rebuilt and work-in-progress tractors, which highlights Allis Chalmers models and several John Deere tractors - many still in working order!

Fred's favorite antique tractors are the 1947 Allis Chalmers WC model that his father bought new from Bill Long's father in Stevenson, MD, and a 1950 John Deere Model A also purchased new from the Sherman Sparks White House Farm Supply.

Some of the higher-end collectables on display are the 1933 Allis Chalmers WC serial #14 with rare Waukasha flathead engine that Fred purchased in 2002 and a 1948 Allis Chalmers WC serial #178202, the last WC model to be manufactured.

Other notable tractor models include a 1929E, 1929 United "U," IB, Road Patrol, WD45 and every WC model year from 1933 thru 1948. Fred also has more than a dozen John Deere tractors on display dating from 1937 to the 1950s including models A, B (including BN with single front wheel), G's, D, R, 50, 60 and some accessories.

Saturday tours are available upon request by calling (717)632-5937 for the general public or tractor enthusiasts alike.

"We do this because it's a way to stay in touch with one's heritage," Fred comments. "Besides, tractor collectors are among the friendliest group of people I know who love to share their knowledge and life experiences."
